List of Chief Ministers of Maharashtra: In 1960, Maharashtra emerged as an independent state following the reorganization of the Bombay State. Yashwantrao Chavan, who had previously held the position of Chief Minister in the Bombay State, became the inaugural Chief Minister of Maharashtra. After the 1962 Assembly Elections, Marotrao Kannamwar assumed office, but unfortunately, he remains the only Chief Minister to have passed away while in office. 

Vasantrao Naik’s tenure, spanning from 1963 to 1975, holds the record as the lengthiest among Maharashtra’s Chief Ministers, lasting for an impressive 11 years. Currently, Eknath Shinde holds the position of Chief Minister in Maharashtra.

List of Chief Ministers of Maharashtra: Following the dissolution of the Bombay State on May 1, 1960, the Indian state of Maharashtra was established. Yashwantrao Chavan, who had previously served as the third Chief Minister of Bombay State since 1956, assumed the role of Maharashtra’s inaugural Chief Minister. First Chief Minister of Maharashtra
