The first National Voters’ Day was celebrated on 25 January 2011 to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of the Electoral Commission.

Every year, the theme will be finalized by the Election Commission of India to spread the message and importance of Voting in India, This year the theme for National Voter Day 2024 is “There’s Nothing Like Voting, I’ll Vote.” This theme follows the same ideas as last year. This infers the importance of voting and how one vote can change the entire democratic nation.
