When a hollow sphere is cut into the parts and the outer surface of the cut part is painted with its inner surface as the reflecting surface. These mirrors are called concave mirrors.

A convex mirror converges the light ray when they strike with its reflecting surface so it is known as a converging mirror.

Real image is formed at the centre of curvature and image size is the same as the object.
When object is placed in the mid of focus and centre of curvature
Real image is formed behind the centre of curvature and the image size is larger than the object.
When object is placed at the focus
Real image is formed at infinity and the image size is larger than the object.
