BCCI Awards: It is the series of Cricket Awards done annually by the Board of Control for Cricket. This award recognizes and recognizes India’s best international and domestic cricketers for their scores. This award was first presented to him in 2006-2007. C.K. BCCI Awards: History

Additionally, awards and other honors for life’s work are presented annually to selected individuals.
 
However, BCCI awards have not been awarded since 2019.
 
Ahead of its resumption for this year 2024, the winners of all the awards from the year 2019 were announced in Hyderabad attended by members of the Indian Cricket Team and Captain Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kholi.
 
Two sets of awards were announced as follows – one was “The International Cricketer of the Year Award (Men)” and the International Cricketer of the Year Award (Women) were the major awards announced at the event.

BCCI Awardees List From 2019 – 23 

Ace pacer Mohammed Shami has been named the International Cricketer of the Year (Men) for the 2019-20 season, while spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been named the winner for the 2020-21 season.

Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah wins Polly Umrigal Award for the 2021-22 season while young opener Shubman Gill is named International Cricketer of the Year (Men) for the 2022-23 season. Ta.

Deepti Sharma and Smriti Mandhana shared four categories for the Best International Cricketer of the Year (Women) award. While Deepti won the award in 2019-20 and 2022-23, Smriti was recognized for her achievements with the Indian women’s cricket team in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

Meanwhile, young batting sensation Yashaswi Jaiswal has won the latest edition (2022-23) of the Best International Debut Award (Men). The Asian Games gold medalists followed Mayank Agarwal, Axar Patel, and Shreyas Iyer.

Former Indian player and coach Ravi Shastri and Farokh Engineer were also awarded the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award.

BCCI Selection Criteria and Rules: Updated 

The workload and fitness of the 20 Indian players shortlisted for this year’s expanded 10-team IPL will be assessed by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). To get into the national team, an aspiring player can no longer rely on his IPL performance, which is known as “notable domestic performance” considered to be mandatory. Also, they announced with the Chairman and board of committee that, BCCI has shortlisted almost 20 players who will be in round 50 of the World Cup match. As was seen with the players, there were more injuries during the match last year as well.
