Noida schools to remain closed till January 16 amid extreme cold conditions
Due to very cold weather, all schools in Greater Noida and Noida districts are closed until January 16. The District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar made this decision because of dense fog and extreme cold. Physical activities for Nursery to class 8 are suspended until January 16.

- The Basic Education Officer declared that all government and non-government schools will remain closed until January 16, affecting classes up to 8.
- Physical classes for class 9 and above continue as usual. The school closure was initially until January 14, but it’s extended to January 16 due to severe fog and cold.
In response to the cold wave, various North Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab, have closed schools until January 14. Delhi plans to reopen schools from January 15 despite fog and cold. Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, declared a holiday on January 22 for the Ram Mandir inauguration, considering it a ‘national festival.’
